[E|C] Boss's New Bed

Boss wanted a new bed - so we got him one :) It's an IKEA Doll Bed...19 bucks, and he loves it!
Now I wonder do kids usually have dolls this big?! haha...it can hold 18 lbs cat!!!

We also got one for Mr. Dachshund, and he likes it too. Basset would like to sit on it too, but she can't fit in it :P

我們幫小貓小狗添了新床，是在IKEA買的小孩玩具娃娃床，19塊一張真的是超划算啊！大貓跟臘腸狗都好愛！巴吉度睡不下，不然她一直也很想跳上去試躺看看 XD

[E] Mr. Dachshund

I was chatting with my friend who just broke up not long ago...and I am thankful that when I broke up with my ex, I had Mr. Dachshund with me...and then I thought about it more...I don't think Mr. Dachshund was really patient with me during that time period. 

I remembered that I was really busy being a full-time graduate student, an adjunct instructor, and a graduate research assistant, and I once in a while still had time to cry. Mr. Dachshund would watch me when I cried - - - pretty much there's no such a thing calls sympathy from his eyes...the messages sent out from his eyes were more like "Get done with your crying since it's time to take me on a walk" or "Again...she's crying again" or "I am just going to sit here and stare at her"...even that, I am so lucky to have him...I think his condescending attitude did shorten my grieving of the breakup.

Anyway, I love Mr. Dachshund; in a little bit over a month, we've been together for 10 years! Time for sure flies!

When I first met Mr. Dachshund, he was super skinny...not anymore :D 

He's now normal size and usually a little bit chunky in winter lol

[E] I painted "my" dog!

I went to a Basset Hound rescue fundraising event, and I supposed to paint my dog - this is my second time of painting, the first time was THIS, which was a much easier task than a dog. I don't know what I was thinking that I think I should paint my dachshund instead of my basset hound. According to the instructor, it's kind of hard to paint a black dog. On top of that, my mom pointed out something that's obvious - when she heard that I went to a Basset Hound fundraising event, she was like "so why you painted a dachshund? shouldn't you paint a basset hound?!" Yup, why did I do that?! Ugh...

[E|C] Another Project for the Dogs

既然昨天釘了個給狗狗用的墊子，乾脆今天也來把外頭那個暫時用磚頭墊高的東西給換了！唯一美中不足的是～我居然忘了先漆室外漆才釘...好險狗兒們不會嫌棄我這回沒上漆...其實上漆是要為了上木頭在室外可以持久一點，不過，老公說，就算沒漆也不會一下就爛了XD

早知道就早點做這兩個小小的projects了，這樣也好看多了!

話說，今天天氣好涼爽。在下了超過二十四小時的雨後終於又天晴了！

After 24 hours of rain, we have a nice 60 degree Sunday. Since we replaced the step inside the sunroom for our dogs yesterday, we decided to replace the ugly brick outside of the sunroom today. The only thing I forgot to do before we nailed the wood together is PAINTING...we still have the outdoor paint left in our garage from building the doggy ramp...and I supposed to remember that...but...OH WELL~ I am glad that the dogs don't care about how it looks...and I don't think the wood would rot so fast anyway.

[E|C] Projects for Our Pets

裝了這個狗狗們已經好一陣子了，因為我家狗兒都是短腿，工人在裝時卻裝得有點太高，我們一直以來就偷拿我家貓咪的一個抓箱來這裡給狗當墊子XD

終於在今天下雨天，我們去買了木片隨意釘了個四英吋高的墊子...因為我們會在上面放舊衣服以便下雨或下雪天使用，所以也不用特地噴漆，就這樣放在門口，五分中就做好了。話說，去年我們做的狗狗斜坡，今年還是毅力不搖~施工有用心，貨真價實啊...哈哈！

This is an easy project that we've been dragging to do it. Our dogs are so short and the sunroom worker installed the doggy door slightly too high for our dogs to comfortable walk in and out, so we used to put an old cat scratch box by the doggy door for them to step on (and yes, we stole Kat Boss's scratch box for the dogs, and it's all One USA Unit's idea...fine...it was my idea). We've been using that scratch box for a while and we finally went to Home Depot and got a piece of 2 x 6 x 10 wood and quickly made a more permanent stand. Miss Basset Hound loves it; Mr. Dachshund hates rain...since it's raining now, he doesn't want to test out the new feature. We are not going to paint this one since we are going to always throw an old T-shirt on it anyway.

I bet if I get my old photos from One USA Unit's computer or my old hard drive, I'd be able to find random photos that were took on the same date from 2011, 2010, 2009...etc.

I have a bad habit of taking photos...sometimes there's actually a good reason, but majority of the time, it just something small but I think I'd like to take some photos lol

Pascal Loves Playing!

My sister bought toys for Ms. Basset Hound ALL THE TIME...I really meant ALL THE TIME...Ms. Basset Hound loves squeaky toys. The only problem of this is - she can play squeaky toys for 30+ minutes. Mr. Dachshund doesn't play with toys too much anymore. He used to do so, but after he lost most of his teeth, he doesn't play as much as before. 

Mr. Dachshund: You gotta do something about this...

Ms. Basset Hound: hmm...which one should I play next?!

Since September, we actually did a lot of activities that I was just too lazy to make a blog. I hope I would do a better job at blogging in 2014.

Old Old Photos

I have a Fujifilm FinePix Z5, an old little camera that I lost its USB cable for a long long time. I stopped using it because I couldn't be able to import the photos into my computer. Preventing Lost KAT

Big white "K"at LOVES going outside, but he doesn't know how to come back home. Because of this, we need to be really careful not to let him run out from home. Once in a while, we will let the dogs watch the Kat lol Neither of the dogs want to do that...so Kat usually gets sent to Kitty Jail (aka dog crate) on the deck for a little bit. 

A Safer Place!

Today I drove the dogs to the University for a walk! I don't want to walk around the neighborhood anymore. My dogs are not super friendly dogs...and I know some people think we don't "teach our kids"... I am just lazy to explain how/where we got our dogs, and they are doing way better than before already! I always put them on the leash when we walk around the neighborhood, and the law actually says people need to leash their dogs. However, many people don't do that, and they think it's my fault if their dogs run up to my dogs and my dogs go crazy...who doesn't want to have super friendly dogs?! I guess someone who wanted "perfect" dogs and threw the dogs into shelter, and then people like me who adopted the dogs get yelled at by random people at the street who don't leash their dogs and apparently can't really control the dogs well enough either lol Whatever, people...I love my dogs, and they are perfect to me!

Nice Weather...Finally!

I've been waiting for sunny day...and finally, here it comes! We went to a garden to walk around and enjoy the weather before the really hot summer actually arrives :P

We adopted them from different animal shelters; they are all funny and problematic in different ways lol  We are very happy that we have them in our life to teach us love and patience.
