We got the crib set up in November. We are going to wash some of the baby clothes, and put the sheet in the crib later on. Earlier this month, some coworkers I used to work with threw me a baby shower. I didn't want a baby shower because I am just not the type of person who like to be the center of attention. However, these nice ladies were trying to convince me for a while and told me that it's going to be a low key shower. Anyway, it was very nice to see all of them, and I really appreciate their love, support, and friendship! I was very lucky to work with them at my very first full time job in United States.
We officially done with shopping! (We still need to get a baby carrier, but we are going to just order it online). We received the car seat today! One USA Unit immediately installed the car seat based in the car, and so far it works as smoothly as we were hoping for. On top of that the car seat can be used on the stroller we got as a travel system - yep, they are different brands (car seat: Cybex Aton Q; stroller: Nuna Mixx). We did some research and found this perfect combination with all the features we want at the reasonable price.
Regarding my gestational diabetes, it's been managed well. I'm not on any medication. My glucose level is usually within the desirable level (thank goodness)...the only annoying part is I have to use the meter 4+ times a day. At this point, I've been poking my finger over 160 times. Few more weeks, we will have another ultrasound to make sure Baby I is at a good size. One USA Unit is going to a conference in December, and let's just hope that the baby doesn't decide to come out during the same time :)
