[E] My First White Elephant Event

Today, I went to my very first white elephant event at work, and it was hilarious!! Everyone wrapped their gift so nicely!!! We all know there are tons of craps under the nice wrapping paper/gift box. The gray box with red ribbon in the center at the bottom of the photo is from me. I used a Neiman Marcus box that I got from my sister last year to put my awesome white elephant gifts in. (My sister did give me the stuff from Neiman Marcus last year, and the box is super cute so I saved the box).  I forgot to take a photo of what I have in the box before I sealed it :( but here is the list of things I put in there:

  1. a brick with a beautiful label I made said "The Foundation"
  2. some leftover Christmas cards from before that I don't want to send them to anyone I know
  3. McDonald's coupon that I got in the mail
  4. McDonald's spiderman toy that my cat had played before
  5. McDonald's spider toy that my cat had played before also
  6. a pair of new Christmas socks
  7. some not so great markers...new, never used, and I will never want to use them
  8. a paper Christmas tree I made
This morning I asked my boss what he brought in, he said he's not going to tell me, and he said "Mine is store purchased"...I was like "Mine is store purchased too!!!" (I did go to Home Depot and purchased the brick...really, it's a brand new brick...I should have ask for gift receipt to make my gift box more delightful).

I am so happy that I didn't actually get a "crap" back to my office :D I stole a little plant from a colleague :D soooooo happy...haha...I'd love to have a plant at my desk with all my other toys!

Since my blog is not specified as PG-13 rating, I guess I can mention what I saw today at the gift exchange event:
  • Weener Kleener Soap (and really, this gift got stolen twice...very popular)
  • Enema
  • Mens disposable underwear
  • Yodelling pickle
  • Some old used textbooks
  • Super ugly artwork
White elephant gifts are overall scary...and I am so glad that I walked out with a plant :D

A Month Without You

Dear Torison, It's been a month without you. I think of you a lot, especially when I do things in the kitchen. No one helps me pick up ...
